The Underworld is the final resting place for all souls of humans and demigods. It is divided into various sections depending on how the given soul lived his or her life. To be placed in a certain section, the soul is judged and weighed for his or her good and bad before being placed properly. The Underworld is ruled by Hades, Lord of the Dead, and Persephone, Queen of the Underworld. The two hold near-absolute authority over the Underworld and its inhabitants.
