History[edit | edit source]

The Tullys were awarded the Riverlands for being the first house to swear fealty to House Targaryen.

Dancing Dragons[edit | edit source]

The Tullys initially supported Aegon II Targaryen for the throne. However, as the war progressed and his brother, Aemond Targaryen, destroyed the Tully lands to get at supporters of the black Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, the Tullys declared for her and helped place her on the Iron Throne.

Fire & Blood Born Again[edit | edit source]

The Tullys earn the ire of House Targaryen when Robert's Rebellion occurs. Aerys I Targaryen calls for the heads of Lord Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon, who are wards of the Lord of the Eyrie, Jon Arryn, and rebellion ensues. While these three lords have just cause to rebel, Hoster Tully refuses to join the rebellion until they secured marriages for both his daughters to Lords Stark and Arryn. This act of ambition brought them into the war, and it forever earned them the ire of House Targaryen
