Augustus Braun is the victor of the Sixty-Seventh Hunger Games from District 1. During his Games, the cornucopia only had spiked maces for weapons, and Augustus quickly became proficient with the new weapon in the arena. After he was crowned, Augustus was forced by President Snow to become a prostitute or else his elderly grandmother would be executed. He did so. To cope with the Games, and with the prostitution, Augustus--who was already polyamorous--turned to sex. He chooses to take pleasure from the actions that he is forced to do, and he frequently has multiple sexual partners. Closest to him, though, and the man who he is in love with is Gloss Sanders.
