Aemma Arryn is the first of Viserys I Targaryen's two wives. She is his first cousin through her mother, Daella, and the mother of his daughter and heir, Rhaenyra Targaryen. Aemma died in child bed giving birth to Baelon who died a day later . Viserys married his second wife, Alicent Hightower, only after protest from the lords of the realm so that he may give the realm a son and heir but even though Alicent Hightower gave him 2 sons he stood firm in keeping Rhaenyra as his heir this would later lead to the dance of the dragons.
